"Bass Ackwards" (U): Reverse masking effect utilizing the Gated Reverb. mperry. SAP, INF/MIDI This patch was programmed by Curtis Pastor as per the SAP file submitted by mperry@vnet.net <<-- the real creator 8/30/96 This program will automatically store itself into program number 100. Note that it uses a custom algorithm. It is a backwards masking type effect, presumably for a bass?? but why not use it for guitar anyhow. You may need to adjust the threshold settings. This SysEx file was filtered by Sys2101.Exe, a specialized sysex utility designed for the GSP-2101 and the use of sysex data, And was further modified (name, alg name, and program number) by the software. clpastor@aol.com clpastor@ee.tamu.edu http://ee.tamu.edu/~clpastor # Thought I'd jump in and join the patch parade. Here's a simple one to # create, but it sounds cool as S--T. To me, anyway. It uses the stereo # gated reverb set to ramp up to make a patch that sounds like you've played # your solo backwards. I was inspired by the intro to a recent REM hit # "What's the Frequency, Kenneth" (I think I got the name right). # I hope I got the SAP right, #================================================================= #HEADER SECTION # GSP-2101 #Device ID 2.01.01.a #Software version Bass Ackwards #Program Name U1 #Algorithm number (whatever u want) #================================================================= # Comments, Please! # mperry@vnet.net #================================================================= #MODULE PARAMETER SECTION # Compr (Bypass) Distr (On, Saturated Tube, 4.0, 5.0) EQ (+4, +2, 0, 0, 0, 0, +6) MVol (-1) #depends on how hot your pickups are/playing is :) FxL (No Sum) SNGt (On, -45, 12, 0, 85, 0, 100, 0.0) SGtRv (On, 100, 600, 30, Ramp U, Ramp U, 9 Long, 20000, 0, 100, 100, 100, 100) D:W (0, 100) #================================================================= #ALGORITHM LINK SECTION # SGtRv <- (Left Input, Right Input) Left Out <- (SGtRv Out 1) Right Out <- (SGtRv Out 2) #================================================================= # END OF PROGRAM # # now that wasn't so bad...
