FAQs:
Q: Which foot-controller
should I use?
A: You should NOT use a MIDI interface foot
controller for your
GSP 2101 (Artist, LE, Pro) because that old MIDI protocol is much too slow for the CC (Continuous
Controller) commands. You should use a foot-controller with a Digitech
interface. These are:
Digitech Control One
Digitech GSP 2101 FC
Digitech 2120 FC
sorry for the bad picture
Digitech Legend II FC
or, the best of all: Johnson J12
Q: What cable must I use for the connection from the GSP2101 to the Control
One / GSP 2101 FC / GSP2120FC / Johnson J12?
A: note that it is NOT a MIDI connection
but a Digitech interface connection!
A 3 wire MIDI cable does not work!
A 5 wire DIN cable (or MIDI cable) would work, but not in every case. On stage
for example you'll get problems with it!!!
You really need a 5 wire cable with screen. (a 6 pole DIN cable with 5 pole
plug).
So get a 6 pole DIN cable not a 5 pole!
Here is the schematic to make sure:

the Control One in English.
Here you can download the users manual
for the GSP2101FC in English.
Here you can download the users manual
for the GSP2101FC in French.
